Marin Women's Hall of Fame Nominations

YWCA San Francisco + Marin is currently seeking nominations for women whose passion and hard work have had a significant impact in Marin County. Winners will be inducted at the 2017 30th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday March 30, 2017 at the Peacock Gap Event Center.

Selection Criteria:

  • Nominee’s primary residence is Marin County
  • Nominee has an exceptional record of substantive contributions within their chosen field, whether as a volunteer, staff or consultant
  • Nominee has contributed accomplishments of lasting significance
  • Nominee exhibits a spirit of generosity as a colleague, mentor/role model and friend

Nomination Process:

Nominations must be submitted online and received not later than the October 15, 2016 deadline. For tips on filling out the nomination form, click here

In addition to contact information for the nominee, you must provide the following in your nomination:

  • What contributions has the nominee made to her community and/or field;
  • Describe the nominee’s qualities and why she should be honored;
  • Anything else that should be known about the nominee; and
  • Optional file uploads including CV, resume, newspaper articles, etc.

Please make sure that you describe your nominee’s accomplishments and not just positions held.

For example:

Weak:  Sally served as Chairperson of the ABC Foundation, an agency that helps foster youth establish a pathway to college, Board of Directors, 2008 - 2012.

Strong:  Sally served as Chairperson of the ABC Foundation, an agency that helps foster youth establish a pathway to college, Board of Directors, 2008 - 2012, and under her leadership developed a three-year strategic plan that enabled the organization to double its’ capacity to serve foster youth (growing from 300 to 600 participants a year). Further, the organization’s success increased from 80% of clients enrolling in college to 90% during her tenure.

Once you are ready to work on your nomination, please click “Create Account” below to access the nomination form. You must create an account to access the form, a step that enables you to click on the Save Draft button and return at a later time to complete the form. To return to the form, just click on the Nominate button again, then click on Log in, and continue filling out the form. Once the form has been completed, click the Submit button.

You will receive email confirmation once you have:

  1. Created an account
  2. Submitted the nomination form

Selection Announcement:

The MWHF Class of 2017 is announced to the selected inductees in December and to the general public in January.
